Description

Aluminum hydroxide(Al(OH)3), white crystal powder made by baeyer process, is stable material up to about 200ºC. It turns out to be separated 66% of Al2O3 and 34% of crystal water above the temperature.
It is very effective as flame retardant for its decomposition reaction through the heat absorption characteristics.

Features

Aluminum hydroxide shows dehydrating decomposition vigorously at 200~350ºC with huge heat absorption.
Aluminum hydroxide added to rubber/plastics will act as superior flame retrdant by suppressing rise of temperature, self-extinguishing, smoke suppression and no noxious gas.
It enhances arc-resistance or tracking resistance characteristics for plastics.
